At Grayce & Co we believe in open dialogue. We want to keep the conversation going. At this moment, we are particularly interested in the following topics:
Commodification of feminism
Is it right to use feminism in media messaging? What brands are misappropriating empowerment messaging and which brands are doing this well? Where do you go for content that you feel is reflective of who you are as a woman?
Recently, a major brand pledged to do away with outdated portrayals of women from its advertising after finding that 50% of ads contain a stereotypical image of women, and that this had a negative effect on sales. How can companies depict women with more authenticity? What kind of female imagery resonates with you?
We’re excited to leverage the intellectual capital of this community in order to showcase diverse perspectives on the issues near and dear to us. We believe in giving credit where credit is due. In addition to knowing that you will have contributed to this conversation, we will provide compensation for your time should your submission be selected for use.
If you’re a writer looking to contribute to a larger conversation about women and media, please submit your content email@example.com.
